Handing over of VTC and IC to Gambian authorities

On behalf of the Government of India, the National Small Industries Corporation Ltd (NSIC), New Delhi, has successfully completed the project of Vocational Training Centre (VTC) and Incubation Centre (IC) in Banjul and handed them over to the Gambian authorities on 12th September 2017 in Banjul. The Handing-over ceremony was attended by the Hon’ble Gambian Minister of Trade, Industries, Regional Integration and Employment (MOTIE), the Permanent Secretary of MOTIE, officials in the Gambia Technical Training Institute (GTTC), the Gambian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) from the Gambian side. From NSIC, New Delhi, Mr. A.K. Mittal, Director (Finance) and Mr. Binod Kumar, Chief Manager (TID) participated in the event. Mr. T. Baskaran, Counsellor, Embassy of India, Dakar also attended the Handing over ceremony.

Earlier during the day, the Hon’ble Gambian Minister, the Permanent Secretary and other participants visited both the VTC and the IC and were shown demonstrations of working of all the machineries installed in both the project sites. The Gambian side expressed their gratitude for the GoI and the NSIC for successful completion of the project
